The NWICE 2024 conference is the 2nd national conference organized by the Department of Sewerage Services (JPP) since 2013. This conference generally aims to share expertise, experience and technology the latest in developing the country’s water and sewerage infrastructure to the level international as well as exhibiting and promoting products and services from the sector water and sewer.

JPP will collaborate with various government agencies under the Ministry of Transition Energy and Water Transformation (PETRA) and other organizations as the primary organizers of conferences, such as the National Water Research Centre of Malaysia (NAHRIM), Water Supply Department (JBA), and the Malaysian Association for Trenchless Technologies (MATT), in order to make the NWICE 2024 conference a success this time around.
It is anticipated that this collaboration will further increase the number of technical paper presentations, as well as the number of water and sewerage products and services from both domestic and foreign suppliers. Additionally, it will increase the number of participants among academics, researchers, government and private agencies, activists in the water industry, and students from higher education institutions.

Furthermore, new technologies will be on display at the NWICE2024 conference, which will feature participation from both domestic and foreign product suppliers. The exhibit of cutting-edge products from government agencies, research institutions, and higher education institutions will also add vibrancy to the event. The goal of this is to introduce and expose people to innovative, cost-competitive technologies that are more efficient and can, in turn, enhance the nation’s water and sewerage systems and water sustainability.
Attending the NWICE 2024 conference and presenting a paper will earn participants and paper presenters several CPD and CCD points from professional bodies like BEM (16 CPD points), BOG, BQSM (6 CPD points), MBOT (15 CPD points), and CIDB (20 CCD points).
